Sequencing Hair Removal With Facial Treatments: The Calendar Logic
Clients on hair-removal courses still want facials, pigment work and skin rejuvenation — the calendar has to hold both without one sabotaging the other. Three sequencing rules do most of the work.
The Three Rules
- Hair removal owns the zone it treats: no peels, no aggressive actives, no other energy on an area mid-course for 48 hours either side of a session
- Tanned skin pauses laser: sun-exposed skin from a beach month switches to 1064 nm or defers — pigment competition raises burn risk
- Photosensitizing facial work defers hair removal: after chemical peels or photosensitizing facials, wait 1-2 weeks before laser passes on that zone
Compatible Same-Week Stacks
- Hair removal (underarms) + LED facial (face) — different zones, always compatible
- Hydra-style deep cleanse (face) + hair removal (body) — independent
- Facial RF (face) + hair removal (legs) — independent
The Front-Desk Calendar
Train reception to ask one question at every booking: \”any treatments planned on the same area within a week of each other?\” That single question prevents the irritation callbacks that erode course trust. Platform stacking simplifies compliance — multi-wavelength laser days and OPT facial days slot into one calendar using the same-day stacking rules.
